Worth the Candle

Only four more days after today and the amount of homework and exams are slowly dwindling. I'm finishing up the paper I have been battling with since midterms. I've only got one more page (single spaced) to go! I kind of went the difficult way (why do I always DO that?) unknowingly. I thought there were a lot of outside sources available, but it turns out there weren't. So I've been picking little things from everywhere to support my argument (That people from Western culture cannot be oppressed or completely equalized by means of media, government, mental or physical impediments as proved in Vonnegut's "Harrison Bergeron" and Westerfield's "Uglies.") Yeah, it's been a long road.

After I finish this paper, I just have one more easy paper to write. It's a reflection on the semester in my education class. I also have two Spanish compositions to write, but they are only about 200 words so that's not bad. Then I just have to finish out the week with 3 exams and I'm outta here!!

I'm listening to Christmas music, but I'm afraid I'm not feeling very Christmasy anymore. Hopefully once I get home I will be more excited. Exams and papers kind of dampen the spirit! :/

If I were home right now, I would have already started bugging Mom about getting Christmas stuff out, but there isn't much I can do for (and isn't much sense in) decorating my dorm room. I've put up Christmas lights in the room (and in the bathroom to compensate for the burnt out light bulb that has yet to be fixed by Bronco Fixit) and they are nice, but I'm ready for REAL Christmas stuff. We've been listening lots of Christmas music and dressing up for the Christmas party last night was fun.

I am all gung ho about going to the library to do my two papers, but it doesn't open until noon today so I'm doing what I can here. It's difficult making myself work when I have things on the agenda for tonight. Especially when it's WICKED!! I am very excited (a lot of that excitement is about the dress, though :D )! But I must get my homework done or I will have a terrible week. I still have to work Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and I just found out that finals week I have to work Monday after my exam and all day Tuesday when I don't have any exams. Luckily, I get to work with Staci (I'm much more comfortable when she's around) both days all day.

I've only got 10 more days to countdown until I'm HOME!! I should be in my house at around 4 p.m. on Wednesday and maybe we'll have a Christmas tree up by the time I go to bed! :D
