So Sums up October
Whew! We are officially finishing up week 7 of 15!! That means we are over halfway done with Fall semester 2010. I also get to go home this weekend (it's kind of a reward for finishing all my midterm stuff, I think!) and I'm very excited to be home!!
Things are looking up after getting through the thick of midterms and class stuff. I'm not going to think about finals yet, though. I've been trying to get ahead on some of my homework and preview lessons. It seems like as soon as I get through something big, I try to take a break and then I fall behind and have to work really hard to get back on track. I'm hoping that I can keep up with homework even with going home this weekend.
Tomorrow I get to schedule classes at 8:00 a.m. Unfortunately, I have a class at 8, but I'm going to take my computer to class early so I can just go to class a little late. If you think I'm crazy, you don't know how competitive this is. Think of it this way. All the upper-sophomores (hundreds of us) are all competing for many of the same classes. My two Spanish classes only have 4 & 5 seats left. AND, if you don't get one right class....you have to change your ENTIRE schedule. This is the first semester where I haven't woken up at 7:50 just to roll out of bed to schedule classes at 8:00:01 and then gone back to sleep!
Finally, I would like to give a shout out to all WMU students. Good work on those midterms not only through the constant pounding, beeping, etc. of Sangren construction, but also fording the tornado-like winds to get to class just for a stupid midterm! Impressive! :D
I'm off to change my sheets, write some Spanish, help Ira study for his Spanish and hopefully get a jump on a couple of papers due Monday & Tuesday!
Hasta luego!
