Bawk, Bawk, Bawk!
Okay, I'm chickening out. It's 2:00 and I have a final on Thursday, but I'm going to bed. Mom always recommends a good night's sleep so here goes. Let's hope the final grade proves that Mom is always right.
Today was superb! My classes went normally, I had a super long, but super good meeting in the lobby tonight, and Katie and I planned the rest of our 8 days together over carry out. Classic. I definitely will miss a few things once I'm home for summer:
1.) Carry out
2.) Crazy lady's laugh in the dining halls
3.) Cold brownies for dessert
4.) Sharing a toothbrush holder with Katie and having "couples" toothbrushes
5.) Sharing a room with Katie *see below
6.) Checking my mail with a key
7.) 518 Harrison!

One thing I've noticed about when I go home, is that it's weird to sleep without someone else in the room. It sounds so weird, and it is not one of the things I would have imagined that I would have gotten used to, but I have. It's hard to sleep when Katie is still awake and when she's not here. Plus, I'm sad that next year I won't have a roommate at all. I'll be very glad for my own room, but I think it's going to be much different. Katie and I get along so well that it's never a burden to live together. We just kind of coexist.
Now, with another burst of energy and motivation, I am off to finish some extra credit assignments. Happy Week 14 WMU!!

Love the updates, Syd - hard to believe a year
has passed and you're on to the next one!
From my perspective, just mine, it's been a very
"supportive" year for you. Meaning that you've had many, many changes, from least to most, but
in those changes, there has been a "seatbelt" around you, so to speak, supporting you as you move through the changes and incorporate them into your life, accordingly. The school staff, your employer, family of course, friends and especially Katie - all supporting the changes you've experienced. Not at all saying "easy", but just "supportive".
I often muse on how the Western culture (not your college - :)) puts emphasis on independence.
Independence is good, but the human race needs more support from each other and instead, we separate into "we" vs "they', "us" vs "them"
I cheer your goals into foreign languages, your
trip to China, that your "boundaries" are expansive, flexible and inclusive.
I'm looking forward to seeing you more this summer.
I love you!
Grammie
